Durban [South Africa]March 31 (ANI): Captain Maminul Haq called on the cauldrons of Ebadot Hasain, Tashkin Ahmed and Shoriful Islam to step up as Bangladesh seeks to expand its victorious campaign against South Africa in a series of tests here in Kingsmead on Thursday.
Bangladesh has lost all six tests in three previous rounds in South Africa. Despite their previous records, the attack rate of Bangladesh surpassed the hosts in the ODI series and paved the way for their historic 2-1 victory.
“If you want to win tests abroad, pace bowlers must be good. If they can make us a breakthrough at the right time, they will have a big role. They rested and recovered last week. They are in a good mood, they are all in good shape , physically and mentally, ”said Bangladeshi Captain Mominul Hake.
“South African wickets are good for fast bowlers, but whatever the conditions we have to play well. We have to maintain discipline in our line and length wherever you throw.
Bangladesh with a high level of confidence enters the series of tests, having just won the historic ODI series. Mominul admitted that his team is limited by the recent victory.
“If you start the tour with a win in the ODI series, it really boosts the team’s confidence. Of course we have to start all over again in this series of tests, and there are differences between white and red ball cricket. But we have confidence from the New Tour. “We have to play like in New Zealand, watch the processes that will give us more confidence,” he added.
“No matter what gate we play, we have to play bowling and put pressure by playing in the right places. If you want to win tests abroad, then bowlers with rhythm have to perform because if they can bring an early breakthrough, it’s will help a lot, ”Hake added. (ANI)
