Josh Butler has established himself among the UK’s hottest talents.
With releases on various labels such as Crosstown Rebels and Defected, along with his own label ORIGINS RCRDS, which provides a home for legends such as Carrie Chandler, Robert Owens and Steve Mack, this year will be special.
Later in the summer, Josh will headline Till Dusk, a new festival that celebrates the moment when the sun sets and the night atmosphere prevails. It debuts on Friday, June 3 in Kipakse, Leeds.
To set us up, we asked him to compile a playlist of great summer tracks that includes a large selection from his own ORIGINS RCRDS.
Dario D Attis & Dani starring Ron Carroll – Come back
Awesome soulful vocal track that came out last week. Modern classics. This original is accompanied by a heavy dub mix designed for the dance floor.
MANT – Subconscious
If anyone has seen me play live over the last few months, they’ve probably heard how I’ve played it. It is destroying dance floors in the UK, US and Australia.
Josh Butler – Last edited by
My last original release was inspired by my back injury in 2021. Fortunately, now 99% are cured. One of the “final adjustments” to my spine took place on the day this track was written.
Groove Armada – a little longer
Timeless loud track House from the legends of Great Britain Groove Armada.
Roger Sanchez – Not Enough (remix by Josh Butler)
It was an honor for me to do a remix on my hero, Roger Sanchez. I am very proud of this remix!
Denton & SOHMI – get to U
The last release of my Denton project, this time in collaboration with SOHMI. Strong support from Sam Divine.
Kerry Chandler – In my system
It hasn’t left my record collection since the beginning of my DJ career. Stone cold classics.
Dennis Cruz and Josh Butler – Ahora Todo Va
A special release with my friend Dennis as part of his album last year. A Latin track that is perfect for festivals and parties on the terrace.
Simon Ray – L’Amour
I fell in love with this track when I first heard it. A big fan of the combination of original house sounds and modern technological house.
Masters at work – Be in love
One of my favorite MAW tracks takes me back to some of the best parties, including Southport Weekenders! Nothing but good memories.
