Napier [New Zealand]March 22 (ANI): Following an exciting series against South Africa New Zealand will give the Whites a rest as they prepare for limited action when they face the Netherlands in a one-off T20 series and a three-match ODI series.
The one-off T20 will take place on Friday, and the ODI series of three matches will begin on March 29.
A Blackback veteran, Ross Taylor, intends to play international cricket for the last time after announcing his retirement earlier this year. His experience will be useful to the relatively young New Zealand side.
The series will serve as the first challenge for players such as Michael Bracewell and striking goalkeeper, Dane Cleaver. The 31-year-old Bracewell topped the productive Super Smash rankings, while Cleaver made 369 runs and finished second.
Meanwhile, Logan van Beek, who has won Super Smash titles with the Wellington Firebirds, and Fred Klaassen, who also played club cricket in New Zealand, have both been named in the Netherlands national team for the upcoming series.
The Dutch also welcome back Stefan Mayburg and Max O’Dowd, who were not part of their latest ODI series against Afghanistan in Doha in January 2022.
The New Zealand-Netherlands series will be broadcast live on Amazon Prime Video from March 25th.
