Christchurch [New Zealand]March 30 (ANI): Skipper Sune Luus believes her team will do its best and take the opportunity to make South Africa proud in the semi-final against England at the current 2022 ICC Women’s World Cup here in Hagley Oval on Thursday.

Proteas ended his last championship match against India on Sunday, declaring a tough win with three goals when Mignon du Pre scored 52 results, surviving a goalless draw with three swords before reaching the winning streak.

“We have the opportunity to make South Africa really proud and write history. I think that’s the most important thing for me as a captain. It’s a great honor, it’s something I’ve never thought about, especially so fast in my career. Tomorrow there will be a big game. Maybe there will be a couple of tears before the game, “said Sune Luus.

“This is an opportunity to make history in South Africa and change a lot of life at home and for us as players. I am also very happy for the butterflies, but this is something we will do when the time comes,” said the South African skipper.

South Africa will face the usual challenge against England in the semi-finals of the 2017 World Cup, where the English side won in Bristol with a small number of two gates.

“We didn’t bring up 2017. It’s five years ago, the teams have changed, the players have grown a lot since that semi-final. I think we’ve become a much better team since that semi-final, so it’s definitely in the past and we look at tomorrow as a brand new game in a brand new world championship, ”she added. (ANI)
